The Journey of Handmade Toys to Green Business Certification in California

In the sunny state of California, where innovation meets environmental awareness, small businesses like us are emerging as benchmarks of sustainability. We are pleased to share that since November 2023 we have been certified as a Green Business company in the state of California. We take pride in being a sustainable and natural brand that respects life in all its forms.
Why we're Green
In our effort to be a company that contributes to caring for the environment, we decided to change our packaging for eco-friendly products, use LED bulbs and recycle our waste.
Since we started our business we consider making our dolls with organic cotton and other natural fibers that are harvested entirely by hand in the Peruvian lands. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in every aspect of our business. From our work with small communities' of artisans in the highland of Peru, making handmade dolls with organic and natural fibers, creating durable designs, eco-friendly packaging , we strive to minimize our environmental impact.
Here are several ways in which our handmade toys contribute to environmental sustainability:

1.-Material Selection:
  • Natural and Sustainable Materials: Our Handmade dolls are made with  organic cotton and natural fibers, as well our hand-embroidery finger puppets set use recycled fabrics. These materials are biodegradable, reducing the environmental impact compared to plastic-based toys.
2.-Durable Design:
  • Longevity and Durability: Our Handcrafted toys are designed to be durable and withstand the test of time. The high and heirloom quality of our toys reduce the need for frequent replacements, cutting down on waste and encouraging a more sustainable approach to consumerism.
3.-Zero or Low Waste Production:
  • Artisanal Craftsmanship: Our Handmade toys involve skilled craftsmanship, allowing our artisans to optimize material usage and minimize waste during production. This contrasts with mass production processes that may generate more significant amounts of discarded material.
4.-Upcycling and Repurposing:
  • Creative Reuse of Materials: When we created our hand-embroidery finger puppets set frequently incorporate upcycled or repurposed materials into our creations. This not only minimizes waste but also adds unique and creative elements to the toys.
5.-Support for Local Economies:
  • Community Engagement: Purchasing handmade toys supports artisans and small businesses like us.

Our journey as a Green Business in California is more than a certification; it's a commitment to nature, innovation, and the well-being of our planet. From the organic cotton fields of Peru to the eco-friendly packaging that cradles our handmade dolls, every stitch tells a story of sustainability. Join us in crafting a brighter, greener future—one doll at a time.
